Travel Procedures for Out-of-State Tournaments

These procedures apply to all CYSA teams traveling out of CYSA’s jurisdiction, including travel to CYSA-South as well as any non-affiliated tournaments (AYSO, YMCA, etc.) Travel to non-affiliated tournaments requires the pre-approval of the CYSA Board of Directors.

PROCEDURES FOR TRAVELING WITHIN THE UNITED STATES

1. The following items must be assembled and completed:

  • A completed USYS Application for Travel (NCR, must be original)
  • CYSA Official Blue Travel Roster (CYSA Form 201 C), which includes all traveling players and team officials. List players in alphabetical order. Maximum number of players is 18. MUST HAVE ALL REQUIRED SIGNATURES PRIOR TO FINAL APPROVAL. If this is the first time you are filling out the Travel Roster, indicate it is “original”, not amended.
  • A copy of the approved USYS Application to Host a Tournament or Games for the competition in which you wish to participate (should be with your acceptance letter).
  • A team check or money order for $10.00 (no personal checks), payable to CYSA.
  • Two (2) addressed, stamped envelopes: One addressed to team manager or tournament coordinator, the other to the director of the tournament you are entering.

2. Submit above items to the Davis Legacy Registrar no later than thirty-five (35) days in advance of your departure date. Davis Registrar will email you when application is approved.

3. Team representative picks up application packet from Davis Legacy Reg. Box and delivers it to District VI Registrar. Directions are in Reg. Box. Materials may be mailed if time allows.

4. Team and tournament director are contacted directly by mail by CYSA. Davis Legacy Registrar does not see materials again and is not notified of status of District approval.

CYSA is NOT required to approve an application submitted less than
thirty-five (35) days in advance. Late fees may be charged by CYSA for late application.

Incomplete applications will be returned.
