Davis Legacy U12 Girls

Davis Legacy U12 Girls takes First Place in the El Dorado Invitatiion tournament.

The Legacy U12 girls, Velocity, recently won the Eldorado Winter Classic. The team won the championship by playing excellent team defense led by Lindsay Callahan, the goalie, with a lot of help from Shannon Hansen, Brooke Palmer, Aimee Jackura and Tessa Tobar, which allowed but a single goal over the four games. The midfield was rock solid with Ceci Gutierrez, Emily Gao, Sophie Meads, Jamie Salazar, Meaghan Murphy, Ceci Cajandig and Miranda Steidler. The forwards,Kalani Ratnasiri, Kelsey Bean, Josie Campanelli and Natalie Vann, did an excellent job of ball hawking and causing havoc for the opponents defense. Kalani and Sophie scored in the game against San Ramon and the defense was solid, allowing a single goal. After a hard fought battle with Elk Grove, Sophie scored to secure the win. In the second day of competition, the Velocity was held to a 0-0 tie with San Juan, but went on to the Championship and defeated Sac United 1-0 on a beautiful goal by Ceci Cajandig.
